The Tabbita Record Company was formed in late 1980 as a result of Grant and two of his mates (Warwick Jones and Don Hillam) writing the song “Let’s Get a Cow”.
The song was written one debauched night at Warwick’s rice farm in the early part of 1980. It was decided that the song was so good that it deserved to have a record company formed in order to take the song to the world.
Tabbita is a little place about 40 kms west of Griffith in NSW. It has a population of zero but has two wonderful wheat silos. They attract many tourists all year round.
Since then the Tabbita Record Company has continued to release and encourage independent talent throughout Australia.
